Transformers

Transformers is the source of power supply for the power system. Therefore, transformers can be considered the heart of the power distribution system. Principle

In the power supply system, the voltage will be converted to a higher voltage. 48kV or 24kV, for example, can be used to reduce the size of power supply conductors over long distances. At the destination, before distributing electricity to the household, the voltage will be converted to 220 V to reduce the potential harm to users. For the use of low voltage electrical appliances at 6V or 9V, it will be necessary to convert the indoor voltage from 220V to the required voltage. The device that performs those functions is called a transformer.

The operation of the transformer is based on the principle of the relationship between the current and the magnetic field lines to create an induced force on the conductor. When current flows through the coil, it causes lines of force around the conductor. If the input current changes in size and direction, it will also change the magnetic field. If a changing magnetic field passes through a conductor, an induced force will appear on the conductor. The magnitude of the induced force is related to the strength of the magnetic field and to the speed of propagation through the conductor of the magnetic field.
