SolarEdge introduces DC - Optimized technology.

The output of the photovoltaic panel (solar panel) is connected to the power optimizer (power optimizer) and then connected in series and sent to the inverter. When operating and sunny, the voltage from the battery to the inverter is 370V .DC (1 pha) hoặc 750VDC (3 pha).

The output from the photovoltaic panels is connected in series and then put down to the inverter with a voltage of 400V.DC  đến 1000VDC (khi có nắng).










When the power cable is broken/short/loose jack or the inverter is turned off or the mains is lost, the panel voltage is automatically lowered to the absolute safe level (below 50VDC).

When it is sunny, the panel string voltage is always very high (400VDC to 1000VDC) which cannot be turned off/down. There is a risk of arcing and electric shock when the cable is broken/sheath peels off or the jack is loose.


Through the power optimizer, the inverter gets the maximum power (Pmax) from each photovoltaic panel. The total received power is the maximum. As a result, more electricity is produced.


Each photovoltaic panel has a different Pmax point. The inverter uses the MPPT algorithm to try to "catch" the best power. But the panels are connected in series, resulting in the inverter catching one panel but not the other.

Shade cover

Thanks to the power optimizer, the current self-regulates so that there are no bottlenecks. A photovoltaic panel that is covered will only lose power on that plate.

Because of the series, the current is blocked at the photovoltaic panel covered by the shade, the output power is severely reduced. As long as the photovoltaic panel is covered by 9%, the output power is reduced by 54%.


Each power optimizer is also an IoT circuit, users can monitor the operation of each photovoltaic panel through the app/web.

It is not possible to know the operating status of each photovoltaic panel. There is no data to perform warranty and maintenance. It is difficult to determine which photovoltaic panels have been damaged and must be replaced.
