Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is a device that helps reduce the risk of computer data damage due to power outages or power loss. For data centers, there is another type of device that can also minimize the risks caused by power failure. It is an accessory designed for organizations with backup power sources, such as buildings with two transformers or those equipped with two hot-standby UPS systems. The Multi-Transfer Switch (MTS) is capable of monitoring the status of both power sources. It can automatically transfer power distribution from one source to the other without interruption. Therefore, there is no impact on the power supply to computers or electrical equipment. We call this device a Multi-Transfer Switch, or MTS, while some may refer to it as a Static Transfer Switch (STS).

Multi-Transfer Switch (MTS) is responsible for automatically transferring the power source. When a power failure occurs in the main source, the MTS will automatically switch to the backup source to supply power immediately. This process has no impact on power consumption or the electrical load. Once the main power source is ready to supply power again, the MTS will automatically transfer the power back to the main source.

The Multi-Transfer Switch (MTS) supplied by our company is widely used because RIELLO ’s products are high-quality and manufactured in Italy. You can be completely assured when using Riello’s MTS, as it helps ensure a more stable power system.
